CORN DOGS WITH CHEESE RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 4 cheese slices
  • 4 sausages
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 Tbsp. of baking powder
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 wooden skewers (6 inch)
  • Enough oil (for frying)
  • El Chilerito Chamoy sauce to taste
  • El Chilerito Hot sauce to taste


Steps

  • Roll up the sausages on the cheese slices and insert the wooden skewers in them.
  • Place sausages on a tray with the union facing down.
  • Freeze them for 20 minutes.
  • Combine the flour, the baking powder, the milk and the eggs in a big bowl. Mix until all the ingredients are incorporated and without lumps.
  • Pour the mix in a tall glass to ease the full immersion of the sausage.
  • Heat the oil over medium heat.
  • Take one sausage from freezer and immerse it in the mix. When you take it out, rotate it to remove mix excess.
  • With the help of kitchen thongs immerse the sausage in hot oil rotating it, to cook it evenly. Take it out of the oil once it is golden and place it on absorbent paper to remove the excess of oil.
  • To prepare the special dip, mix in a bowl: El Chilerito Hot sauce and El Chilerito Chamoy sauce to taste.
  • Dip your corn dogs in the sauce and enjoy.
