ORIENTAL CHICKEN WITH MANGO CHAMOY

Ingredients

  • For the chicken
  • 1 chicken breast cut into cubes
  • 1 cup of wheat flour
  • 2 eggs
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

  • For the orange sauce

  • 1 cup of orange juice
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 30 ml of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 100 g of chopper chives
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup of El Chilerito Chamoy mango

  • To accompany

  • Oriental white rice or rice noodles


Steps


  • For the chicken

  • Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Dip each of the chicken pieces in a bowl with the wheat flour, once covered, drain the excess powder and pass them through the beaten egg and go through the flour again.
  • Fry them until golden brown, put them on some paper towels to remove the excess of oil. Reserve.

  • For the orange sauce

  • In a skillet over medium high heat, place garlic, onion, bell pepper and chopped chives and sauté for 3 minutes.
  • Dissolve the tablespoons of cornstarch in the orange juice.
  • Add the orange juice, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar and El Chilerito Chamoy Mango to the pan. Boil for two minutes.
  • Add the sugar. Mix it perfectly and let it boil until it thickens, taste and season if it needs more salt or sugar.
  • Add the chicken to the sauce and mix perfectly. After a few minutes add the sesame seeds.
  • Decorate with more chives and enjoy!
